GARAGE & CARPORT PAINTING
We are all thrilled with the painting of the buildings which are complete! Our staff is now working on garages and carports. This will be an ongoing effort until they are all finished. Our staff is always working hard on daily maintenance and urgent projects and will continue to work on garage and carport painting and repair during more favorable weather.
CLUBHOUSE FLOOD
Many are aware that plumbing leaks are one of the greatest issues in our complex that is now 40+ years old. Unfortunately our clubhouse is not immune. When we arrived for our annual meeting the morning of January 20th we were greeted with a surprise flood in the basement of the clubhouse. We joked that this was just an object lesson to let owners know that anyone can be affected by a flood, but it was quickly apparent that this was no joke and actually very serious.
Our fabulous maintenance staff got the water shut off quickly and began pumping water out of the basement. After hours of hard work we realized we needed more help and we hired a professional cleanup company to assist our team. The pipe broke at the most inopportune time, when nobody was around, and put thousands of gallons of water into our basement.
Our priority is always safety of our owners and guests. To properly dry things out and ensure we don’t have mold we had to remove the carpet, baseboard, and a bit of sheetrock from all of the walls. We had hoped to do some clubhouse updates this year, but the water and cleanup damage has dramatically accelerated that project!
Our team has been working hard to keep this project moving as quickly as possible, but a project of this scale simply takes time. We are estimating the basement and associated activities will re-open for use in April.
